Godfrey’s is a new business opening our first popcorn shop January 2025 in Covent Garden London. We’re in good company, our first location is surrounded by world-famous theatres in one of London’s most sought-after shopping districts.
We are looking for bright, switched-on, friendly individuals who are keen to learn and good with people. You’re getting in at the ground floor, so naturally, there are opportunities to grow with the business and forge a career that has the potential to pop-off!
What the job entails:
We are looking for a reliable and responsible, detailed focussed individual to join the team for the role of evening kitchen cleaner. You will be tasked with cleaning the small kitchen and popcorn machinery(which you will be trained in), as well as the cleanup and close of our compact front of house area.

The Job
You will arrive at our Covent Garden popcorn shop at 6:30pm and begin the day’s cleaning process. You will start with the kitchen, cleaning the 3 popcorn machinery kettles, as well as all utensils, surfaces and tubs. Once the equipment is clean, you will empty all rubbish, vacuum and mop all floors.
Moving on to the front-of-house, you will then empty and clean the popcorn cabinet, vacuum, mop and wipe down all surfaces. Empty bins and turn off specific lights. Finally, you will need to lock up and place the keys into our lockbox.
Every few days you will also need to clean the bathroom and basement storage area.
We will need to be able to communicate clearly, and effectively with you to ensure the cleaning is done to the highest standard. As we are a food-based business, hygiene and maximum cleanliness are essential.
It will be a short shift of 3 hours a day, 5-7 days a week, including weekends, perfect for someone wanting to make some extra money in the evenings.
Hourly £15p/h (£45 p/d)
